When a client has a nature park as their backyard, there is no need to look far for inspiration.

For this commission, the pond, the movement of the water, the grass, lilies and trees all became part of the starting point.

I wanted the painting to feel connected to this particular place — its shapes, rhythm and atmosphere — while still becoming something of its own.

A custom painting, inspired by the place it is made for.

“We had empty walls for years — and it was worth the wait.”

It starts with a conversation.
About a place. A memory. A feeling. Something personal that has been there for years, perhaps without ever having a shape.

And then, slowly, my part begins.
I’m not simply trying to create something beautiful for a wall. I’m trying to capture something of what that place, memory or feeling means to you. Sometimes literally, sometimes through colour, atmosphere or something much more subtle.

And then comes that moment when it finally arrives home.

Maybe that’s why I love hearing that someone has had empty walls for years.
Not because they couldn’t find something to put there.
But because they were waiting for something that truly felt like theirs.

And honestly, I find it quite special that I get to be a small part of that.

A moment of home.
Created on commission for a couple originally from Marseille. Together, we chose the Calanques as our inspiration — a landscape deeply connected to their sense of home.
Raw textures, earthy browns and the ever-present influence of nature.
A little nostalgia. A sense of calm.
